And sometimes, firms that require a very high level of confidentiality (e.g., Law firms) do not prefer cloud-based accounting systems because of the fear of the data being made accessible to third parties. In such cases, if you need immediate access to your financial data or need to make a few changes, it can become quite a hassle. This can be troublesome in areas where the internet is a problem or if signals are weak. But one main drawback of these is that they will not work without an internet connection. Cloud-based accounting software is usually preferred by most companies for a variety of reasons.
